The Burnhamthorpe Cat Shelter

Photographs;

Photographs - the Cattery & supporters & the local wildlife

The Cattery, a small detached building (from the main house), with wired enclosures on two sides.

One of the most interesting features of the Cattery is that live trees were used in the enclosures.  This building had many sections to keep cats separate from each other.

Some of the many levels inside the Cattery.

And lots of ways for cat to get around

A gathering of over 275 supporters on the lawn of the main house (for humans to live in), that was well attended.  It is important to note they were many supporters and the City knew it.

Some of the protest signs that were used.

The wildlife in the Credit River Valley

A couple of deer drop by, for a midnight munch on some shrubbery's. Apart from your landscaping getting smaller as the winter wore on, I am told the deer had the habit of pulling the bushes away from the house and when the leaves detached from the branches the bush banged up against the house.  It is no wonder these beautiful animals are endangered in our City.

Up close and personal with a pheasant on patrol for food or a hen, which ever comes first.  Again, beautiful wildlife we love to see but we leave few places for them to live in Mississauga.
